shrubberies, dr. fate

i bought shrubberies for $24 at rebel rebel in nyc this weekend when i was
there for stonewall. fucking fabulous. i was stoked to get the four full-band
demos (especially babooshka) in addition to the other demos (which fiona
already had given me on tape, bless her).

also, i was reading the vertigo visions one-shot Dr. Occult, a D.C. mature
readers comic book, yesterday. a guy in this surreal singles bar tells rose,
dr. occult's female alter-ego, "did anyone ever tell you you look like a young
kate bush?"

funny, i thought kate WAS quite young.
