Last week someone wanted to know if there is a mailing-list regarding
k.d. lang. Actually there is a rather new one and here the instructions
how to subscribe:

  k-d-lang
      Contact: majordomo@world.std.com
  
      Purpose: Discussion of k.d. lang and her music, concert appearances,
      interviews and any other k.d.-related musings.
  
      To subscribe, send a note to majordomo@world.std.com and in the 
      body of the message, type: subscribe k-d-lang <your.address>


The lines above are an excerpt from a catologue 'mailing-lists' of many
other mailing-lists. It can be found and retrieved by anonymous ftp at
'rtfm.mit.edu' under the directory '/pub/usenet/news.answers/mail/'. If you
don't have ftp send mail to 'mail-server@rtfm.mit.edu' with 'send /pub/
usenet/news.answers/mail/mailing-lists' in the body.

You can get another catologue of mailing-lists if you send mail to
LISTSERV@NIC.SURFNET.NL with 'Lists Global' in the body. Other sites with a
listserver will probably give the same assembly of mailing-lists.
More can be found in the news.answers archives everywhere around the world.
