I don't know guys; I really like 70s concept albums. _Hemispheres_ by Rush is a wonderful almost symphonic example of a great, well-put and -held together album/story. Rush is very well known for their live shows...In fact, they're playing the first part of Hemispheres on their current tour. It does get a little silly to compare classical music with rock...but compositional techniques can be similar, if that's the direction that the artist is willing to take. Yeah, lots of concept albums are cheesy and lose the point they are trying to get across in the details of the story. But lots of it is wonderful, engrossing stuff. My fiancee is harpist and opera singer. She has put together a bunch of folk songs under the title and story of _The Dark Eyed Sailor_. It's a love story which capitalizes upon the storytelling aspects of folk music. She's making a short film of it(Yes, it is something like TLTCTC, but she's been working on this for a lot longer than we knew about Kate's offering); perhaps someday you guys can go see it at the UC Berkeley theatre =). The point being that a lot of this stuff is really neat, and calls to the fiction lover in us all. By-Tor Blackwing, Slayer of Dozens Windoze Error #56: Operator fell asleep while waiting.
