I should reword my question.  When someone writes directly to this
list (love-hounds@uunet.uu.net or other *posting* address), says they
want to subscribe to this very list, but doesn't send the request to
the subscription address (love-hounds-request@uunet.uu.net), are they
added to love-hounds or are they left in the dark unless someone
emails them the proper subscription address?
