Subject: FINAL CALL for "ASPEL" tapetree videotapes
To: love-hounds@uunet.UU.NET
* * * FINAL CALL FOR THE "ASK ASPEL" TAPETREE VIDEOTAPE * * * The Aspel videotape will, after some discussion, be delivered in its present form. The concensus is that any "new and improved" versions of material already on this tape should become part of a *NEW* Tapetree project. ( :-) ) The following is from Peter Manchester, original tapetree root: > Andy Marvick (IED) and I compared notes this past weekend, and it > looks like the course of wisdom is to not delay anything [...] > > Moreover: > > a) The real meat of this tape is MoP and RM. After that, the intact > Dutch Videos are a rarity for most people here. > > b) The Christmas Show is less rare, and a lot of your contacts will > already have serviceable versions of it. Those who don't still get a solid > taste of it from this tape, defects and all. > > In my view, a restored Christmas Show ought to be part of a different > project than this one. > > Peter So -- Aspel Videotape Version 1.0 is ready to roll -- All those who were waiting to see if the tape contents were to change should wait no longer! Thanks for your patience and understanding. Formats I can provide (NTSC only): VHS: Hi-Fi Stereo with Dolby-B linear stereo soundtracks S-VHS: Hi-Fi Stereo with mono linear soundtracks Beta: Beta II speed Hi-Fi Stereo with mono linear soundtracks; tape will be recorded in the Beta-compatible Super-Beta format (only VERY old Beta machines MAY have difficulty with the higher resolution format; Super-Beta can be disabled for any people who experience compatibility problems) Send e-mail inquiries to: sztestes@othello.ucdavis.edu Blank tapes and postpaid return mailers to: Tom Estes 643 Crystal Springs Drive Woodland, CA 95776-5753
