Good to be posting again. I've been sitting here reading Gaffa for the last 4 months, but haven't been able to post. I was first reading this back in college, around when IED posted the Wickham (?) Street Irregulars quiz. About the new stuff... BSL is fantastic!!!! First listed I just kind of said what?, and knew it would need more listening. Then I listened to RBG and ETM a couple of times, and couldn't really take any more. So I listened to BSL again, and ended up playing it 8 more times in a row at louder and louder volume. It's up there with Rocket Man and Waking the Witch. Somebody mentioned that the guitar work reminded them of Prince(ss). Well, I may not know about him, but it strongly reminded me of Adrian Belew or Robert Fripp. Since we have (apparently) another 6 weeks to go, I suggest that everybody spend a week refamiliarizing themselves with each album. This will give much more accuracy to later comparisons with the stuff on TRS. Philip Verdieck Phil@sonosam.execnet.com
