finally got to hear the single in sonic glory (as opposed to digitized hell
or telephonic fuzziness) this past weekend (no, i haven't gotten around to
picking up my own copy yet so don't ask).

my impression of the song has not changed much from what i previously wrote
about it, but i would like to amend one thing: "eat the music" has more of 
an african than caribbean rhythm. not to mention the reappearance of the va-
liha and the presence of a kabossy, which, if i am not mistaken, is a malagasy
instument as well.

um, since when has KaTe been "alternative"? ;)

uh, i wasn't too impressed by this track either. it sounds decidedly unfin-
ished and weird for weirdness' sake. i agree that it had potential, but 
it is far from realized.
