Hi, Vickie!  IED has been here for the last two months, actually, but
since he had heard no news for a while, his usually too-wordy presence
has been less keenly felt by philo-canines.

You are misreading IED's word.  He nominates the Homegrounders for
beatification, not beautification!  Though certainly it is true that
IED misspelled the intended word:  it should read BEATIFIKATION!
