This seems to be a likely interpretation. Just for the Kate fans
that like a long shot; there is a Sweeney (yes, that is the
spelling in Kate's lyrics too.) in the works of T.S Eliot,
"Sweeney among the nightingales" for example but also, more to
the point, a play "Fragment of an Agon" that contains the
character "Sweeney". This is a highly dramatical piece! 
Well, well I just wanted to display this knowledge...
