Gaffa is in reference to Gaffer's tape, which is called Duct Tape, Tuck Tape and many other trade names in the States. It is that silvery 2 to 3 inch wide tape. It is used to tape down cables and wiring in a music studio or on a stage. One of its qualities is that it is very difficult to get every last bit of it up off the surface you taped once you have left it for a good while. i think.. bret kulakovich acsbk@umassd.edu
