Ron sez...
> One of the first was a band from called OUTBACK, which featured
>a real live Didgeridoo player, the first one I'd ever seen. People
>seemed real interested in the instrument, I was like "the expert",
>despite the fact I'd never even seen one! I saw the guy who played it
>later taking to a woman, and said "nice Digeridoo'in", but
>unfortunately he was more interested in the woman.

If this gets through then it'll be the first post to Gaffa that I
have been able to get through for about 6 months!! Funny you should mention
didge's Ron. I just saw Yothu Yindi live in Sydney at the State Theata on
22/9. If you want to talk about -great- didge sessions you should have
heard the opening sequence. It started with an almost subsonic synth over
which was played the loudest and deepest didge I've ever heard. The noise
was felt right through your chest! After having set the mode they then
introduced some traditional dances with clapping sticks... wow... what
a concert!

If anybody out there is interested in good didge then you should
look up the likes of Alan Dargen (the best in the world), Gondawanaland
and Coori bands like Yothu Yindi etc.
