UG>What the HELL did Ms. O'Connor do to deserve such a bad rep? She refused to let the American national anthem, "The Star-Spangled Banner," be sung at one of her concerts, or something like that - and the media picked this up and blew it WAY out of proportion. She said that she's not an American anyways, and she doesn't have much respect for the people running our country right now, so she did not feel obliged to salute America. Or something like that. Personally, I agree with her. The people currently running the government are a bunch of idiots, and I wouldn't stand up to say "hi" to them if they came begging to my front door. And anyways, I like Sinead O'Connor's albums. But I should bring this subject back to Kate, so... "On top of the world Looking over the edge (You could see them coming) You looked too small (In their big black car) To be a threat to the men in power. "I hid my yo-yo In the garden - I can't hide you From the Government." --- ~ SLMR 2.1a ~ Netmail Address: modemac@f230.n101.z1.fidonet.org -- Channel 1 (R) Cambridge, MA
