i managed to get tickets to tori amos' late performance at the bottom line
in manhattan last night. the early show had sold out about three weeks ago,
or so i was told when i picked up tickets a couple weeks ago.

as others have posted, it is her and her piano, alone for an hour or so. and
as others have posted as well, her performance is just plain wonderful. fueled
by anger and passion, she sings her heart out, somehow managing to exceed the
sheer force and emotion that is present on the album. ignore the emptv hype
and just listen to her voice and lyrics. for once in the music industry, some-
thing worthwhile is getting pushed. take advantage of it. do not miss this
show if you can help it...
