Possible Delay

I would have to agree that the sad death of her mother may delay
Kate's upcoming activities.  I seem to recall she took some time
off after Alan Murphy and one of her favorite dancers (Andrew?)
died, so I imagine Kate may be taking some time off for awhile.

If this is the case, it is an understandable situation.
