A "little" M7x update. If anyone's in the Chicago area, The Moon Seven Times is playing at the Avalon at 10:30pm on Thursday, April 9th, opening for Paul Kelly. I'll be there, so say hi to the tall guy in the trenchcoat. Also, Big Hat is playing Mabel's here in Champaign, IL! Pretty cool, I can finally hear them. M7x is opening for them, so it's a double dose. M7x will be releasing a single in late April of the 7" variety. No new material, but hopefully some fuel for alternative radio. The single will cook for awhile, and then the CD will be released (in an eye-tearingly uninformed guess) in late July, early August, or thereabouts. Three new songs are in their concert playlist, and they are _good_. If anyone has any suggestions for good targets for the single, I'd love to hear them. Lynn's voice has improved a lot. Now, if you're familiar with Lynn Canfield's voice, you'll probably say "It was great already!" Well, it was great, now it's something more. She's gained a lot more control, and it's to the point where my knees go weak for the first few minutes of gigs. I promised an overview of M7x a long time ago, but I've been busy getting back into school, getting a job, messing around at M7x concerts, and just being plain lazy. I'm still trying. Before everyone on 4ad-l believes the 7 lily Dewdrops reviews of M7x, see them live before you decide on the band. -- Ken. [Mail&info via finger: brownfld@uiuc.edu] brownfld@mrcnext.cso.uiuc.edu
