Stev0 talking- The debate is on- individual letters of condolence to the Bush Farm, or one big letter done by all of us? My vote: The big letter. Even though the recipient knows you mean well, getting (and answering) 1,000 letters is a big pain, but getting one letter signed by 1,000 people is considered sweet. Although I have not dealt with these numbers before personally, I know wence I spake. Alternative: If you must send an individual message, send it directly to the Terrence Higgins Trust. Someone posted the address earlier, but I lost it. For those who don't know (Thanks, Melissa, for the info!), the Terrence Higgins Trust is a British AIDS activist group (education & research, etc.) Personal suggestion: If you want to give a donation to Kate's favorite cause in Hannah's name, but don't want to deal with international currency and mail (this is for us yanks), make a contribution to: The Shanti Project 525 Howard Street San Francisco, CA 94105 These folks are the best when it comes to funding research projects, helping people with AIDS, and generally educating and informing the public. Another of Kate's favorite causes is Amnesty International. I should have there address, but don't - but they have offices all over. In fact, even if you DON'T want to make a donation in Hannah's name, why not give something the the Shanti Project anyway? Kate would. -Stev0, who just may have to reliquish the title of Great Satan to Cynthia
