The new issue of "Record Collector" has an ad for a new publication: "The Illustrated Collectors Guide to Kate Bush" by Robert Goodwin (who did a critically-acclaimed Led Zep guide, it sez here). It's got 144 pages, over 350 illustrations of rare collectables and goes from "Wuthering Heights" to "Rocket Man". Features include international pressings, TV appearances and bootlegs. Price is L10.00 paperback, or L25.00 for a very limited ed hardback (a meta-collectable item?). It's available from Shattered Records, 140 Montague Street, Worthing, West Sussex BN11 3AH, UK (who also have a nice selection of KaTeposters, btw). There's been no new r.m.gaffa traffic here between Sunday and today, and I haven't seen my (or Evan's, or Neil's) video post on r.m.g yet, but IED has, so I assume they didn't get dropped on the floor... ...Just wanted to make a few corrections: the Uillean piper is of course Davey Spillane, not Liam O'Flynn (who plays on "Jig of Life" and a track on Enya's "Shepherd Moons"), and the KaTe-in-a-space helmet scene comes after the first chorus, as Evan describes. The candle & guitar on a chair is a very thoughtful touch (unusual for a pop video!), but probably quite confusing if you don't know why...it took me a while before it clicked. I bet it was KaTe's idea! No idea if/when we'll ever see the full version, but the "Two Rooms" TV spesh that's supposed to be on this Sunday might be a possibility.... -- Scott Telford, Dept of Computer Science, / "I think she's one of the University of Edinburgh, Mayfield Rd, / greatest composers of the Edinburgh, EH9 3JZ, UK. / century, in my opinion." electric mail: s.telford@ed.ac.uk / - Nigel Kennedy, on Kate Bush.
