The ancients who built Stonehenge, the Pyramids etc. are supposed to have been able to detect these lines of earth power and built their monuments, temples etc. on the nexus of powerful ley lines. This is supposed to link the area to earth energy, inspiring creativity, spirituality, growth etc. I guess "New Age" literature will have some info on them, as well as books on ancient mythology. Strangely enough, the 'ley line' concept shows up in many disparate mythologies. I have known of the concept since my teens. I'm not too sure as to whether I believe it or not, but its possible, and you know, there are some places that you stand that just FEEL more empowering than others.
