Even the best-informed Katefans are generally unaware that Kate was
serving as a WREN (kind of like a British women's ROTC) during the
Grenada invasion, and though she was not actually in the front line,
she was facing the possibility of serious hand-to-hand combat, at
one point foreseen as just a few hours away.  Rumor has it that the
fabled "Pull Out the Pin" video, never seen by mortal eyes, was to
contain footage of Kate in uniform, during that crisis...
