Request for good record shops: Pittsburg, NYC and Providence

Fellow Love-Hounds!

During two weeks, beginning October 12 and ending October 24, I'll be
visiting Pittsburgh, NYC, and Providence. There I'll attend an
assortment of conferences, but I will have some spare time as well. In
my spare time it'd be nice to check out some record stores. The
problem is: I don't know any stores in these cities, let alone any
record shops carrying a nice stock of Kate stuff! That's where you
come in to the scene, my friends in the Global KT Village!

Anyone of you out there that have any record shops in Pittsburgh, NYC,
or Providence that you'd like to recommend me to visit? Btw, since
this is my first time in any of these cities (and the first trip to
USA, too), perhaps you have something else to tell me about that's
interesting to see/visit/etc... like vegetarian restaurants...?
