Help with recording chain for cello's on Hounds of Love

I have most likely just upset a lot of KT fans in rec.audio.
A guy was reviewing some speakers and I was trying to follow
the recording chain for the cellos in Hounds of love.

Please correct me, but did it go something like this...
A = Analog, D = Digital.

cello--A-->Neuman mic--A/D-->Fairlight II(X?)--D/A-->Mixer [another A/D D/A
conversion in the FX loop for the reverb etc, Lexicon???]--A/D-->master--D-->CD
--D/A-->speakers--A-->Ear.

So help in correcting the above would be appreceated, was Hounds of love DDD?
What hapn'd in the studio
