I recall that Doug asked John Carder Bush and he confirmed that "Kashka" is indeed a male character. Judi asks if the "...hitting the vaseline" might refer to an actor removing his makeup. I don't think Kate has ever specifically said what this was referring to. I think though, that the "patting the bottom" gesture along with that sly look during that phrase in the video really leave little room for doubt. Maybe it's a double entendre.
