Now that I've come down a little from my HOL high, I can look at the album a little more objectively, and develop whole bunches of questions. And my first HOL question is this: where can I find the incidental words? There's a lot of talking in Waking the Witch, that's just not on my lyrics sheet, provided by r.m.gaffa. Let me now insert the opinion that Under the Ice is one of the coolest songs I've ever heard--eerie, ethereally happy.... And I know we've talked about the Ninth Wave business before, but back then I had no idea what was going on. Now I start to see Kate's intense structure to the album.... Can anybody explain it to me? Small words, few syllables will do nicely. Isn't it great the way ideas and lyrics are repeated in the songs? Anyway, there's my first couple of HOL questions. Answers that would bore more experienced Love-Hounds may be sent to the address below. Charles. padgett@athena.cs.uga.edu
