How I Got Into Kate

Easy - I started reading Love-Hounds, which at the time was full of
all sorts of babble concerning The Ninth Wave, which previously had
meant nothing to me.  I knew nothing about the "plot" and the sum
total of my intellectual involvement with that side had been "gee,
neat sounds on _Waking the Witch_."  So, once I heard all these people
explaining it I went back and listened closely.  Instant enlightenment.

Of course, once I got The Dreaming, the world turned inside out and
upside down.  It was better than losing my virginity, and only slightly
less messy.  To this day, it remains my favorite KaTe album.  I don't
think any of the others even come close, although I know that is a
distinct minority opinion.
