Subject: kate gets some mention in mem
For those of you keeping track (you know who you are)
the current issue of Music Express Magazine, printed in Canada
but distributed in the US compliments of Sound Warehouse, the following
re: our heroine appears:
They have a quotes section in which they quote Kate as saying:
"Most female sounds in rock music are dissipated by male sounds,
because generally it's the males who are producing and playing
the instruments." (p.66)
Later, in a review of the "albums of the year" (no, TSW didn't make it),
they refer to KT in the Sinead IDNWWIDNH review (which appears first on
the page):
"...Sinead certainly hasn't lost her anger --- take, for
instance, the line "England's the home of police who
kill black boys on mopeds." And can you imagine
Joni Mitchell or Kate Bush risking a line like "the times
we fucked so hard there was blood on the wall"
("Jump in the River")? Sinead's a true original, and,
at 23, she's only just begun!
Kerry Doole"
Don'tcha love it?
