It's really amazing the discussions that start up on unlikely newgroups ;-)

I think what Sinead did is great.  She doesn't take any shit from anyone,
and I have to admire that.  Did you see her on that new talk show with
I-forget-her-name Shriver?  They were trying to get camera shots of the
boots she was wearing & she blew them off big time!  In this day of
lip synched dance shows (don't get me wrong, I love KaTe ;-)) replacing
real concerts, it's great to see a unique performer like Sinead do
well commercially and make some waves at the same time.

I picked up the Sinead video recently, and I've seen about 1/2 of it.
It is supposed to be live somewhere, but you can hardly tell.  The sound
seems to have been heavily studio-ized, and the video so far has
consisted mostly of close up head shots with some sort of animation
for a background...  Not really what I expected or desired, I guess.

I caught part of the new Cocteau Twins single last night -- it sounds
remarkably "commercial", but not in a negative way...  What to others
think?
