Summary: The concert was far from disappointing.
[In previous article, Laurie Anderson concert is this close to being panned ] [because of pre-seen monologues; _but_ the title track performance redeems ] [her ] I'm quite sure I saw a review of the concert on gaffa quite some time ago, but let me just sum up some salient points in case even one person is discouraged by the previous post. Her show is _long_, long enough for an intermission. But it doesn't drag on. It's also _media-enriched_, with 6 still-frame screens, and three movie screens. Thirdly, it's _extremely good_, as are all Laurie Anderson shows. Witty banter, social observations, excellent music. And the omnipresent vocoder. Go. Now. Even if you've seen every monologue 20 times on every channel at once. jeffhansen|||hansen@cs.wmich.edu|||"Now anyone that can understand 'Yankee Doodle' should have no trouble with the Avant Garde." -Laurie Anderson, _Empty Places_ tour
