OK, silly thought #106:

At the end of "Never Be Mine", I was listening to the Trio's little
part, and thinking that if, perhaps, you imagined some singers from another
country (say, Bulgaria, perhaps?) were singing some English text (say,
"Never Be Mine", perhaps), then they might pronounce some things in a
completely different way (for instence: "neh-va-beh mee-neh").
Try listening to the end of NBM and see if you can't force yourself to hear
this effect yourself.  Then get a telescope and check out the canals on Mars.
