I'm pretty positive I remember reading on here something in which KaTe said that one of the major inspiration for _The Ninth Wave_ was the movie _Das Boot_ (sp?), the german submarine movie. In that context, it makes _perfect_ sense to have someone speaking German. Does anybody else remember this source for TNW, or is my memory playing tricks with me? |Jeffrey C.
