No one has done these kind of publishing deals since the Sixties. Having a publisher isn't very important for the self-contained artist, so there is no reason to give up that much of the publishing rights. A quick glance at _Lionheart_ (as an example, it was sitting next to me) shows that the publisher is Kate Bush Music. I would doubt that this is any more than corporate name for Ms. Bush herself, and be willing to take bets that EMI doesn't own the tiniest piece of it.
