Moving from Japan

I had no problem getting the Kate Bush in Japan single (Moving, She's Leaving
Home and The Long and Winding Road).  There were a couple of record shops
in Connecticut that had them (around the New Haven area).  
I don't think the cover picture is her best though.  Her eyes look tan.

The question I have is why is there a crowd clapping when this was recorded
in the studio and played over the radio?  I found it quite out of place.
