Sinead: _The Lion And The Cobra_ question

A few days ago, I noticed for the first time (okay, I'm slow) how incredibly
distorted and overdriven my copy of the _LatC_ CD sounds in places, especially
towards the end of "Troy".  Do import (non-US) copies of the CD have this
problem as well, or was it a bad transfer for the US pressing?

I've grown to love this disc enough that I'd be willing to spend the money for
an import copy if the sound quality was noticably better.
