Like Dante surprised by friends

     As Dante said to his friends when they came upon him staring into
the image of an angel which he had drawn in the likeness of Beatrice
on the first anniversary of her death, so IED feels as he contemplates
the richness of Kate's beauty in photographs taken on the thirtieth
anniversary of her birth: "Forgive me for ignoring your presence, for
another was with me..."
