Is LV better than VHS HIFI

Hello again, it's been some time.  That is, of course, if this rag actually
exists anymore.

Has anybody compared the quality of te soundtrack of KBs Whole Story as it
appears on Laser Disk and VHS HIFI.  I bought the VHS version last week
and it seems a bit noisy, especially on some of the newer stuff RUtH etc.
Of course, it may be my speakers, but the whole thing seems a bit
high balanced.
