As some of you probably already discovered, Kate did not appear
on the "Stand By Me" special on MTV last night. IED reserved comment
pending confirmation of her absence, but actually, he posted a notice
in June denying the rumour that Kate had appeared
in the AIDS show. The confusion probably arose because the AIDS show
was staged in London on the same weekend as Amnesty International's
Secret Policeman's Third Ball shows. Kate appeared in the latter,
but there was never any word of her appearance at the former.
Too bad.
