I hate to play the role of the die-hard engineer, but after perusing Andrew's posting of the (rather large) current state of the compilation tape recipients, it seems to me that a great deal of time would be saved if we did some pre-sorting. Examining the list reveals that the tape will cross the country something like six times (and the Atlantic twice, I might add). If we managed to sort all the addresses such that the tape started at one end of the world and traveled over to the end, passing over the recipients along the way, we would save a considerable amount of time and money. Just an idea. I can easily see the tape being completed (if it ever DOES manage to run the entire route) by next spring... %%Rob Rob Rosen Computer Systems Support Group University of California rosen@ucbarpa.Berkeley.EDU (the syntactically correct address) ucbvax!rosen (for people who actually LIKE source routing)
