A modest proposal re: the Kompilation Tape

Howzabout this?

We break the list in half somewhere (or in as many pieces as
seem appropriate...), then each segment of the list starts its OWN
Kompilation Tape... and when the tape hits the end of the sub-list,
it then gets sent to the head of the NEXT sub-list...

I'm not sure what to do about whether the sub-lists following the original
sub-list all need to add to each tape (perhaps it's not necessary?) but
hey, at least it would make things move MUCH much faster - with the redun-
dancy of multiple chains rather than the fragility of just one.

Ideas?  Problems?  Flamage?

p.s.	I trust the term "Kompilation Tape" refers to the tape that's gonna
	be going to Scotland et al., and not some IED (or other person)
	-produced KT tape.  That sounds interesting too, but the suggestion
	above doesn't apply...
