I agree with Slime in all counts. As an addendum I would like to add the
followig :

 1) Critics who listen to themselves seldom hear the truth.

 2) Only a fool would believe that a value judgement made out of self apraisal
    can be universally justified.

 3) Apples and oranges can be compared, but only at an elemental level (e.g.,
total acidity, fibre content, etc.). Whether an apple tastes, looks, smells or feels better than an orange depends only on the antecedent history of
    the person to rate them.

 4) There is no perfect anything, lest everything is perfect.

 5) It is impossible to determine the near infinate number of sounds a banjo or
violin can make. It is reasonable, therefore, to conclue that neither is
more versatile. One must not forget that not only can you bow them, strum
them, pluck them, etc. but you can also slap them, crash them into the
misecton of over zealous critics, etc. There are a lot of sounds to be
gotten out of them in non-conventional ways.

What's really sad about this is that I actually took time to write it. Slime,
you're right. Long windedness is boring.
