Subject: T-shirts, feedback, etc.
On T-sirts: DON'T USE A PICTURE!!! The cover of TD (not Thomas Dolby in this context) is a good shot, and cepiatone (sp?) (brown and white, low contrast) should be easier to reproduce than full color, but I still think it's impossible to do without settling for mediocre image quality. If you must use a picture, how about something abstract? Doesn't Kate dearest have some unmistakable physical trait? How about a shadow profile (Kodalith print of some other profile shot)? I couldn't read M. Knight's robotic "Love Hound". It contained lots of embedded (ASCII 32h) characters. Are those terminal-specific? They made the pager barf (4.2BSD), like totally. Could someone please mail it to me? I'm still all excited about my pet "big path" idea for the back of the shirt. Everyone mail me the path FROM mit-eddie TO you, ok? Even if it doesn't go on the shirt, I'd like to play with it photographically. Who knows, maybee I'll produce a LH poster. ... I've got the shirt you've got the ink let's make lots of money ... Overhead: Has LH digest merged with some other non-USENET lists? Seems I can never parse the return paths anymore. Where's a BITNET gateway? What's the BITNET path syntax? Is it just me, or is there a feedback path somewhere. I keep getting redundant redundant messages. It's like there are 2 broadcast mechanisms, and each is input to the other. Strange. ... too much information driving me insane ... Oh, by the way, does anyone know the lyrics to (gasp) the Pet Shop Boys' "Opportunity"? I think, slightly modified, that song may be appropriate for Intel. ... we've got the chips you've got the boards let's make lots of money ... Unfortunately, I have about 16bytes of RAM in by head, and that's all I can remember. Some may not consider this unfortunate in this case, but I like the song for the greed and ruthlessness that it contains. Sounds like us.
