T-shirts:
An anti-culture identification device should be subtle and more than
a little obscure. "Love-Hounds" in 3-inch letters is not subtle.
I'm assuming we're trying to announce our presence to each other
rather than the public who don't know what this is about anyway.

I'd go for something like Joe Turner's <cutter%umass-boston.csnet
@CSNET-RELAY.ARPA> first diagram. I think a quote is a very good
idea. The "chalk line" script mentioned is attractive, but needs
more consideration to decide if it's dangerously common yet. How
about "spray can" letters. Simplifies production too, just find an
NC end mill (or similar x,y device) and tape an airbrush to the
chuck.

I like the net address on there, too. Maybe a more detailed net
address, either graphic, or with lots of {myvax, yourvax|hisvax}.
I'll bet that a meta-symbol specification the paths from mit-eddie to
ALL LH readers would take up the back of the shirt in tiny letters.
Like those gratuation t-shirts with everyone's name behind the year,
which is usually overprinted in huge digits in a different
(translucent) color.

The more I think about the "big path" the more I like it. I'll even
volunteer to generate the text (given the entire mailing list) and a
camera-ready original (if our imagen is good enough).

Parties:
How about organizing something for the northwest? Hello? Anybody there?

Surfing:
Can anyone in California tell me how to go about learning to surf?
I'll be going to Monterey sometime in September and thought that
surfing might be an interesting thing to try.
