PRESS RELEASE FROM BIRDSONGS OF THE MESOZOIC

Geological upheavals occur at regular irregular intervals, at rational
irrational moments in time. And now, possibly due to Halley's comet,
or possibly the Gulf of Sirte workout or possibly the bursting forth
of the first morning glories of the year, a rip has formed in the
fabric of Boston's semi-important music scene: and oozing from this
rift comes the new EP by Birdsongs of the Mesozoic, *The Beat of the
Mesozoic*.

Some thought it would be out last summer -- some thought it would
never come out. Many were not interested. As a compromise to all
those whose pet theories will be dashed into the fiery furnace below,
we will release the record (out of the chasmitic chaos) this April,
with a record release party April 25 at the Paradise, replete with
party favors, prehistoric atmosphere, and contemporary food for
purchase.

Following this date will be a Thurs May 8 gig at T.T. the Bear's.
Later in May, NYC (the World) and Hoboken NJ (Maxwell's). May 16 at
Daniel Webster College (opening the Computer Center) in New Hampshire,
and probably May 23 at Rick's in Worcester. We hope to be touring in
June.

Other Interesting Punctures: May 4 Roger Miller / Maximum Electric
Piano at The Rat with the Swans and Dredd Foole. May 7, music at Man
Ray Event-works, Martin will be playing in a piece by ex-statue Bob
Moses, and Roger will play a solo sonic cornet piece. May 24, Roger /
Maximum Electric Piano at T.T. the Bear's, hopefully with Christmas
and Dr. Black's Combo.

Correspondance will be received in this steamy vent: PO Box 406,
Boston, Mass. 02112
