re: Bowie and KB concert rumor Wow! I was gonna say this would be my wildest non-wet dream come true, before I saw Doug's "perennial rumor" note. Oh well, it was good for 15 seconds of ecstasy. Actually, it wouldn't be unthinkable for Bowie to do something like that (having a co-concert, as opposed to who-opens-for-whom); after all, what did you all think when you first saw the Bowie/Jagger video "Dancing in the Streets"? Or the "Little Drummer Boy" with Bing Crosby? All in the name of fun ... By the way, what's with Bowie's fascination with movie songs lately? You've probably all heard "Absolute Beginners". That song seems to get more embarrassing with every listen. Is he just applying 10% of himself in everything, or is he up to something wicked |-? (I hope)? *** There's a small review in LA Times of JaMC's concert, basically says the same thing you've all been saying. Perhaps you're supposed to "enjoy" the JaMC concert the same way as the move "Stranger Than Paradise" (remember that movie)? The review did mention that JaMC played with Specimens and "B.H.Surfers", which I thought was amusing. *** Sue: I do own all of (gasp) Abba's records ... even has an "Abba book" and an "Abba cap". I'm not Swedish, so how do I excuse myself? :-) "If I had to do the same again I would, my friend," Fu-nando-Sheng
