Pere Ubu

Don't underestimate some people's knowledge - I'm sure a lot of people
on the list have heard of them.  The name comes from a character in several
plays by turn-of-the-century French playwright Alfred Jarry.  Pere Ubu is
considered one of the first truly irrational characters in literature.
