>In the Music Box interview from about '86 kate says one of her >favouite movies was 'Don't look now' from Nicholas Roeg. >You will not believe it but it is one of my favorites too, long before >I saw this interview. The beatiful shocking story from Daphne >DuMaurier is suberb filmed by Roeg. I am sure Kate was inspired by >this movie when she was writing THOL. The sinister atmosphere of >venice is bautifully captured in TNW. She also told she liked 'The >Cruel Sea' from '53. I never saw this movie. Did any of you saw this >picture? > >Greetings Marco > I rented the movie specifically because Kate liked it....the movie is good, (suspenseful for its time). The the scenery is indeed captured in a beautiful fashion. It is from this movie Kate wanted Donald Sutherland for her video "Running Up That Hill". Kate has also mentioned the movie version of "Turn Of The Screw" as her inspiration for "The Infant Kiss" I then had to see the play. I have yet to read the short story that "Running Up That Hill" was based on...has anyone read that? I forget the title and author.
