Thanks for that perspective. I confess, that hurt. In summary, she is a normal person wanting a normal life. In some measure, I do know what a disappointed fan looks like. It's scary as hell. At my level where the audience is still three feet in front of us, it is very personal. At her level where the frenzy can kill, it must be devastating. Impatience is one aspect of desire. If one understands that, it is ecstasy. If one thinks all desires must be satisfied, it is spiritual poison. So we balance that with the list, with "katemas" (i also don't care for deification: don't rob someone of their humanity), with the pages and art. This is the good side of fandom. Art spawning art. That is the kiss. If our letters give comfort, and in comfort she makes more music which we buy, that is the rose. Have we hurt her that deeply? If we have, then shut down the list, close GaffaWeb, take down the KateWorlds, and wait for a record. Fair dinkum. len
