A bit expensive though, given it was never released as a single, but WHAT a gorgeous melody and SO brilliantly arranged. -----end of quoted material---- amen to that. i read a post recently that criticized the brevity of the track. but for anyone who wishes for a _longer_ arrangement, check out the sinead o'connor version of this song of the compilation _ain't nothin' but a she thang_. talk about a DIRGE. sinead just sucks the life out of the song. plodding tempo...wan singing. surprising that i hate it so much given that i actually like the willie nelson/sinead o'connor version of _don't give up_ better than the kate/peter one. i don't think it's that sinead is necessarily an inferior singer--but as a producer/arranger, it's all about kate. -- Brian J.
