Kevin queried - > Has anyone heard of a song from the seventies called "Mirrors" I discovered > it on a Seventies compilation album, and it sounds very much like Kates early > stuff, I forget who's singing it, but it's very similar in style. Yup, "Mirrors" (with its December Will Be Magic Again-foretelling percussion) dates from 1978 (what *was* in the ol' aqua that year ?) and sits, in truly beauteous company, as track six on Sally Oldfield (Mike's sister and erstwhile musical collaborator)'s splendid solo LP debut : ~"Water Bearer"~. This *partly* Tolkein-inspired aural tonic, showcases an awesome talent, and is currently available as a budget CD release from Castle Communications. Anyone who has more information about Sally and her work, I know that she is far more prolific than Kate, (why is it so hard to uncover material ? Does she live in Germany ?) ***PLEASE*** get in touch with me...............
