Well, I don't think there are any firm connections at all, either - I just
notice that Oldfield fans like myself tend to also dig Kate's music.  Some
things that Oldfield and Kate have in common - they both like the composer
Delius, and they both apparently like celtic music to some degree, they are
both rather reclusive, and they both create wonderfully original and
beautiful music from relatively simple means (sorry if this "simple means"
statement bothers any Kate-fanatics, but it is true, from a musician's
standpoint - don't get me wrong - I mean it as a very sincere compliment -
they are both TRUE artists in this regard, IMO).
