Apart from Woomera being the site of rocket testing in the early 60's I think. The word itself means: WOOMERA, Noun, Aboriginal 'throwing-stick' by means of which a dart or spear is propelled; short club used as missile. Hard to draw in ASCII so imagine a long stick with a loop of string at one e- nd like __________o. The dart or spear is then attached like an arrow would be on a bow. the long stick is the thrown overhand (although you hang onto the stick). Hope this helps. -Glen.... No SIG as yet.
