IED recalls that Kate once said that when she first heard
The Wall she (briefly, thank heaven) doubted whether she
could ever come up with new music of her own that wasn't
just unnecessary -- "The Wall seemed to say it all," or words
to that effect, she said.  

But then she recorded Hounds of Love, which arguably tends
to make The Wall seem unnecessary. . . (:^) )
